Born to the world as Nicholas Barbapapa, "The
Reverend" Nick Richards is currently making a name for
himself by leading his opponents in prayer. Competing in The WWF in the early 90's, Richards has a firm rooted history in
the sport.
Early on in his career, Richards competed as Garfield Quinn, having some
quite impressive feuds along with fellow technicians PJ Walker and Tony
DeVito. Now increasing his hardcore wrestling style, Richards has
turned up the heat, specifically in MWA and WWA. In the MWA, we have
seen his previous feuds light up once again, with Justin Credible and
Baldie DeVito, as well as budding new vendettas against ECW mainstays
Spike Dudley, Nova, Mikey Whipwreck and Jason Knight.
To date, The Reverend claims that his best series of matches were
with Scott Taylor in the Portland, Maine area. However, another series
comes to mind. Kenny Casanova first managed Nick Richards in a series of
matches against The Sandman in May of 2001. The Sandman, who was
originally scheduled to wrestle The Road Dogg, found himself without an
opponent, so Kenny intervened. The matches were intense and Kenny
provided Richards with protection from the evil clutches of The
Sandman's manager, Bill Alfonzo.
